ONCE I know how to do that I will semi-permanently remove the fuses to one module at a time. The idea being that removing power from a bad module - a module that would corrupt the CAN bus -- should result in thee CAN bus running properly. Does anybody know which module control the CAN bus? Or is this system "master-less"? Any comment about my idea?

May 11, 2011 · If a module logs a 'Bus Off' DTC, it means that the module has detected CAN transmission errors and has disabled it's own CAN transmissions and disconnected itself from the network in an attempt to allow the rest of the network to function. At this point the 'Bus Off' DTC is set.
